A/C Units are generally constructed the same. Though, all brands do not perform the identically. There are only three manufacturers of compressors in the U.S.; Copeland Scroll being the best, 13 Seer Goodman have a 10 year warranty with Copeland compressors, and the 14 Seer and above carry a lifetime warranty on compressors. It is best to go with a unit that offers the longest warranty, generally up to 1-10 years. The key is to consult with a one of our professionals when choosing a unit that fits your needs and budget. Also with Freon prices rising daily and R22 being weeded out (obsolete by 2020), we specialize in eco-friendly 410-A systems.

*R-22 Freon System Users PLEASE READ!
Manufacturing of R-22 Air Conditioning systems will cease by the end of 2009. The R-22 Freon will be obsolete by 2020, as it will become exceedingly more expensive everyday and significantly difficult to find and purchase. Starting in January 2010, most A/C systems will be manufactured to use the R-410A. The R-410A does not contribute to depletion of the ozone layer! Instead these systems utilize a blend of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) which are safer for humans and the environment, while more cost efficient.

What this means is that we specialize in replacing the older ozone depleting R-22 systems with the new state-of-the-art, eco-friendly R-410A Systems.
